Ms. Nosipho Mashaba

This month SINRMAS and the entire Seanego Group family bid farewell to a dynamic young lady who joined the company in January this year as Admin Assistant. Nosipho leaves the company to pursue her career in Pretoria. She has been such an energising figure teeming with great potential. We count ourselves lucky that at some point we were blessed with her presence and accordingly convey our well-wishes for in all her future personal and professional pursuits. Farewell dear sister!

Strategic Planning Retreat

On the weekend 9-11 August 2019, Seanego Resources and SINRMAS staff went on a strategic planning retreat at Fortis Malag Hotel in Waterval Boven, Mpumalanga. The purpose of the retreat was for the companies to share their business overview with staff and to set their medium-term business strategies. The retreat was attended by all full-time staff members, consultants and subject matter expert facilitators who helped in steering discussions. The main output of the retreat was a well-crafted strategic plan which will guide both companies for the next 3 years.

Financial Reporting Workshop for Department of Environment,
Forestry & Fisheries NRM Project  Implementers

As an implementer of one of DEFF’s NRM projects in Mpumalanga, Seanego Resources attended the 2 day workshop that convened in Johannesburg on the week of 27-28 August 2019. The workshop was as much an empowering experience for our managers as it was a disempowering one in that to some extant it managed to bring clarity to few riddles that have been the source of confusion and consternation for implementers. However, if anything, the workshop also revealed the many grey areas that exist in the current contracting model used by the department and in the many in which funds get allocated to implementers and for which line items. Overall, both our Group MD and our Capacity Building Coordinator are of the view that the workshop had few empowering elements that can be the basis for future implementer capacity building efforts by the department.
