Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations & Optimization
Water plant optimisation as a service involves the systematic analysis, evaluation, and improvement of water treatment plants to enhance their operational efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. It is a comprehensive approach that utilizes advanced technologies, data analysis, and expert knowledge to optimize various aspects of water treatment processes.
Our WTW & WWTW Plant Operations and Optimization process involve the following processes:
Water Quality Monitoring
SINRMAS Water Quality Monitoring (WQM) services play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of water used for different purposes such as drinking as well as the quality and compliance standard of household and industrial effluent into river schemes.
SINRMAS through it Water Services commercial arm has been rendering reliable water quality monitoring service to different clients ranging from small to large private and public sector organizations over the last 10 years. Our service is anchored on quality and timely collection and analysis of samples, and delivery of test result at an affordable cost to our customers.
Our WQM process entail:
- 1Sample Collection from various water sources like tap; natural resource such as a river; lake or dam; WTW and/or WWTW and at a production process point
- 2Physical and Chemical Testing for physical determinants like temperature, pH, colour, turbidity, and conductivity, and chemical tests which involve measuring the concentrations of various substances, such as dissolved oxygen, total dissolved solids, metals, nutrients, organic compounds, and disinfection by-products.
- 3Microbiological Analysis to identify the presence of harmful microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, and parasites, which can cause waterborne diseases. Common microbiological tests include total coliforms, E. coli, faecal coliforms, and heterotrophic plate counts.
- 4Contaminant Identification
- 5Quality Control and Assurance
- 6Regulatory Compliance and reporting: we release microbiological result within 24 hours of receiving samples and chemical analysis usually completes within 7 days at maximum

Electro-AquaWise Skills for Youth (EASY)
SINRMAS Academy launched its ambitious water & energy sector skills development flagship, the Electro-AquaWise Skills for Youth (EASY) in 2023 with a goal to train 10 000 young people on the different skills across the water and energy value chain in the next 10 years. EASY is currently in its second year and with the 2025 learner intake, the programme has reached close to 300 learners spread across 4 local municipalities. The overall goal of EASY is to pluck the critical artisanal skills gap in the water and energy sectors and ultimately to reduce incidences of water and energy losses in the future.
The EASY programme implements and manages leanerships and skills programmes on behalf of the SETAs with young unemployed youth as the primary target.
