Corporate Social Investment

We believe that given a fair chance, everyone has the capacity to rise to and realise their full potential. As such, at SINRMAS we endeavour to make lasting impact in communities through the projects we implement and through the proceeds that flow from such projects. It is for this reason that we maximize the job creation output of our work so that as many people as possible can get employment the opportunities they seek to develop their lives.

But our social impact goes beyond work itself. It extends to cover even those who may not be able to work with us as employees or trainees, but who still deserve our warmth. It is for this reason that we have institutionalised two programmes that jointly constitute our corporate social investment perspective:

Sinrmas Cares

SINRMAS CARES is a social programme aimed at promoting water conservation education and awareness in communities to mitigate water loss. The programme also focuses on river cleaning and the promotion of access to water for rural households and institutions that do not enjoy such access as a result of poor or lack of adequate supply infrastructure. The programme anchors itself on the following goals:

  • Promoting and enhancing access to drinking water for rural households and institutions
  • Promoting water conservation through social education and awareness
  • Supporting climate change mitigation measures
  • Supplying free water storage containers to needy families in rural communities

Sinrmas Impact

SINRMAS IMPACT is aimed at creating opportunities for children; youth; women and persons with disabilities and increasing their ability to access opportunities that are available to those coming from more affluent backgrounds. The programme promotes access to and provides opportunities for targeted groups and individuals to enjoy access to

  • Education
  • Health care
  • Shelter
  • Sport; art and culture
  • Economic upliftment

Environment

At SINRMAS we are aware that our work has a bearing on the environment and therefore acknowledge our moral and legal responsibility to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of all those affected by the activities of the company. We therefore commit to maintaining the highest standards of environmental protection throughout every phase of the work process.

As an organisation, we acknowledge that climate change is a reality of our times that calls for urgent action by all of us. As such we determined to do all in our might to positively contribute towards the reduction of greenhouse gas and the mitigation of climate change while we help communities through different adaptation measures to lessen the scale of devastation that they may come to encounter as a result of harsh climate conditions.

As part of heightening our contribution to climate change awareness and mitigation, we will host a climate change summit in September 2026 to bring together various social actors to converse about the realities of climate change and the necessary action it calls for.

SINRMAS is committed to ensuring maximum compliance to occupational health & safety for our employees underpinned by our commitment to the principle of ZERO HARM: ZERO INJURIES AND ZERO DEATHS throughout all our work processes. We are also committed to the sustained wellness and personal growth of our employees. All our employees who work on our projects are taken to periodic medical assessment to ascertain their continued fitness for the jobs they perform.
