The Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) has in terms of the Skills Development Act (SDA), (Act No 97 of 1998) Chapter 6C as well as the Continuing Education and Training Act 16 of 2006 officially certified SINRMAS as a Trade Test Centre (TTC)/Assessment) Centre (AC) for Occupational Certificate: Water Process Controller NQF Level 3.

The occupational qualification 102255 which carries 181 credits plays an important role in training and enhancing the performance and efficiency of Water Process Controllers. To date there was no such a centre for this specific qualification in he country and this meant trainees on it could not be fully certified.
